Brief History of Pillar and Post Inn & Spa

Originally constructed in the late 19th century as a canning factory, Pillar and Post later evolved into a knitting mill before being transformed into the charming and luxurious inn and spa it is today. Its heritage elements have been lovingly preserved, offering guests a unique blend of historical charm and modern comfort. Reception and Ceremony

There are seven indoor and outdoor event spaces, with the largest capacity being 225 guests. There are three outdoor ceremony spaces. The location includes various photo opportunities, such as the vintage look of the hotels or the gorgeous floral garden. There is even a small waterfall and a rustic barn.

The Olde Library and Gallery can host up to 80 guests. With its floor-to-ceiling woodwork and charming fireplace, the room has a sophisticated feel. You can conveniently celebrate your reception in the adjoining private dining room.

The Upper Canada Hall Ballroom can host up to 168 guests and offers a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos. Guests like to step out into the night to stargaze on the large private deck and gazebo outside after a long night of celebrating.

The Second Room is ideal for small weddings, hosting up to 24 guests in its cozy quarters. With its pretty woodwork, decorated window alcoves and gas fireplace, the space is perfect for an intimate setting.

The Gardens at Pillar and Post is a large and stunning space outside, inspired by Monet’s gardens in Giverny, France, that can host up to 176 guests. With your choice of three different ceremony spaces, La Roserie, Le Pont de Monet and Le Petit Pavilion, the gardens allow for beautiful backdrops of wedding photos.

The Barn at Pillar and Post, which is inspired by Niagara-on-the-Lake’s surrounding historical barns, can host up to 74 guests. The barn is spacious and bright, with large floor-to-ceiling windows that let in a ton of natural sunlight. The building is also surrounded by the colourful gardens outside, making it an ideal location for any wedding reception.

Lastly, the Bella Terra Vineyards is the largest of the spaces and can host up to 225 guests. If you’ve ever imagined having a winery wedding, this is the spot to do it. Lovingly maintained by the Puglisi family for over 50 years, the location offers incredible views in any season.
