It’s important to do your homework to find a suitable wedding venue.

Make sure your venue has the option to have a tented outdoor ceremony or reception. It’s the worst when everyone is walking down the aisle, or standing there squinting because of the sun and burning from the heat. It’s also not great for photos because the lighting is too harsh. Never hesitate to ask about the venue’s rain policy.

Some other things to remember when choosing your venue; does your venue provide a caterer, or allow outside caterers? Will you have a cocktail hour after the ceremony?

Make sure to ask about their top photography areas, indoors and out.
